About Braw

Braw skateboards was produced by Devon skaters for skaters. The braw ethos is simple; quality materials, in a quality design, for everyday skateboarders. Our board designs are inspired by so many great local spots, parks and quality surf breaks within the south west. The mellow concave's, kicks, and generous wheelbases create a comfy feeling underfoot of all things skate and surf. Growing up we were influenced directly by the street skating of the 90’s, we also have an appreciation for the transition skating of the times before, resulting in our deck selection. Our boards and trucks represent what skating in Devon is, two extremes from gnarly rough street and great new flowy concrete parks. We wish to constantly find new lines on the water and concrete. Our board  designs are motivated by a desire to cross pollinate different aspects of board sports with one another, as well as the multiple eras that skateboarding has experienced.

Exeter's Skateboarding History

Exeter has a great history of skating. Our best known skate shop was The Boarding House, which closed in March 2023. Its original and longest standing owner was Tim Ruck. We have also had many great skaters come from Exeter including Jason Bates, Dan McDermott, and Barney Page. Click on the titles below to view our history.
